The DATRON Triple flute necked end mill with DIN HB flat is ideal as a tool for roughing and finishing deep pockets and channels in soft metals and wood.
Higher helix triple flute geometry gives the cutter more stability for finishing by reducing radial tool loads which can result in chatter and vibration.
The DIN HB flat (WELDON shank) allows for utilisation of speciality toolholders with support DIN HB shank clamping. DIN HB flat compatibility further increases the stability of the tool as it is less likely to be pulled from the toolholder during roughing operations due to the greater axial tool load from the higher helix angle geometry.
The long reach, necked (reduced diameter) geometry allows for clearance above the cutting flute between the tool and stock wall. These tools are best suited for special applications requiring a long reach into the workpiece.
