Single flute end mill, downcut

The DATRON single flute downcut end mill is ideal for finishing of edges where the top edge is vulnerable to chipping or delaminating in soft metals, plastics and wood.

These tools use a single flute reverse spiral to push chips down into the workpiece, rather than conventional tools scooping material up and out of the workpiece.

These tools are best suited for special finishing applications requiring a high quality top edge free from chipping or delamination, such as in plywood, MDF or plastic applications.

Downcut tooling is not recommended for heavy roughing operations. For high speed roughing in soft metals, plastics and wood, DATRON 4-IN-1 Single flute end mills are recommended.
