Collection: DATRON Triple flute end mill, for steels, X.CEED coated
The DATRON triple flute X.CEED coated end mill is ideal for machining steel alloys.
This tool features a balanced triple flute design with a rigid carbide core allowing small cutting diameters down to 1.75mm. The short cutting lengths of the tools allow for stability, and tool clamping in the spindle can be shortened to maximise support of radial cutting forces at smaller cutting tool diameters.
X.CEED coatings are optimised for high-speed machining applications in hard materials such as steel alloys. X.CEED coatings provide high hardness, increased oxidation resistance and elevated thermal stability. These characteristics protect the tool from abrasion and material adhesion during machining of even challenging steel alloys.
The DATRON double flute X.CEED coated end mills are available in a range of diameters from 0.9mm to 3mm. For applications machining steels requiring tool diameters smaller than 1.75mm, the DATRON double flute X.CEED coated end mills are recommended.
For applications machining steels requiring tool diameters larger than 6mm, the DATRON four flute X.CEED or ALCRONA coated end mills are recommended.
DATRON CNC tooling is developed and manufactured by DATRON in Germany using the highest quality, micro-grain VHM carbide.
