DATRON Single flute ball nose end mill, polished for acrylic glass

The DATRON single flute ball nose end mill, specially polished for acrylic glass, is ideal for high quality finishing in clear acrylic or plastics.

These highly polished end mills are ideal as a surfacing tool for providing nearly optically transparent finishes in clear plastics. The particularly sharp cutting edge allows for excellent edge and surface finishes in a range of plastics.

Polished tools for acrylic glass are not recommended for roughing operations, as roughing will reduce the tool life for high quality finishing operations.

For high speed roughing in plastics, DATRON 4-IN-1 Single flute end mills or DATRON Double flute HSC+ end mills are recommended. If using a high feed milling strategy for vacuum work holding, DATRON stepped single flute end mills or DATRON stepped double flute end mills are recommended.
