Collection: DATRON Carbide tip drill, 3.175mm (1/8") shank

The DATRON carbide tipped drill is an economical tool for precision hole drilling in soft metals, harder non-ferrous alloys, steels, plastics and wood.

In applications where large numbers of precision holes are required, DATRON carbide tipped drills are an ideal solution. Repetitive drilled holes are machined faster using a drill, and will provide a more consistent diameter when compared to interpolated holes using an end mill.

DATRON drills with a 3.175mm (1/8”) diameter shank utilise a hybrid composition of solid carbide drill tip and cutting flutes, bonded to a high speed steel shank.

DATRON drills are suitable for precision micro-hole drilling applications, with drill diameters available starting from 0.1mm (100 micron).

The DATRON drill range provides 0.05mm (50 micron) increments between 0.1mm to 3.0mm drill diameter, and 0.1mm (100 micron) increments between 3.0mm to 6.5mm

DATRON CNC tooling is developed and manufactured by DATRON in Germany using the highest quality, micro-grain VHM carbide and high-speed steel.
