DATRON

High-Speed, Precision Milling Machines

Not a machinist?

Not a problem!

The DATRON NEXT controller is designed to make milling as easy as 3D printing.

With a user-friendly touchscreen interface as intuitive as a smartphone, software assisted job setup, and camera based workpiece probing; machine operation is simple and efficient.

The machine enables the rapid implementation of ideas with a quick, easy process. The DATRON NEXT controller provides a finished workpiece in just four steps that anyone can learn.

Finished parts in 4 simple steps using DATRON NEXT Control

Step 1

Select your program

Swipe through your programs and tap to select the desired part.

Programs feature a visualization of each machining operating on the left of the program. for improved visual control and reduced operator error.

Step 2

Load Tools

Load your tools from the built in DATRON Tooling database.

The machine will automatically measure tool height using the built in touch probe.

Graphical user interface showing tool data and position within the machine simplifies operation.

Step 3

Load workpiece

Using DATRON workholding solutions such as vacuum table, pneumatic clamping, or centric vises, materials for processing can be loaded in seconds.

Using the spindle mounted camera, we can swipe around the axis to move the machine and locate the workpiece.

Probing has never been so easy, simply draw the shape you need to probe on the screen and the DATRON NEXT control recognizes your geometry and automatically generates the probing cycle

Step 4

Simulate and Run Program

Using the on board simulation tool, users can view the toolpath on the digital twin machine before running the program physically.

Once the simulation has been checked by the operator, the intuitive PLAY button in the top right of the control starts the program.

DATRON Precision Milling Machines

DATRON neo

The DATRON neo is ideal for precision R&D and small-scale production runs. Its compact size allows it to fit through a standard doorway, making it a great choice for use in laboratories, workshops, art studios, or at home.

The DATRON neo provides unmatched flexibility from prototype to production.

DATRON Productivity Solutions

DATRON support a range of optional accessories to enhance the capabilities of DATRON machining centers.

4th axis, 5th axis, and unique vertical workholding solutions can all provide operators with an edge to increase capabilities and reduce cycle times or post processing.

DATRON ML Cube

Huge travels in a compact machine define the ML Cube. With XY travels of 1520mm x 1150mm the ML Cube provides unmatched space efficiency for large precision sheet machining.

The ML Cube is the best choice for large format precision sheet/plate production.

DATRON Tooling

DATRON has decades of experience in the design and manufacture of carbide tooling specific to high-speed machining.

DATRON tools provide the highest standard of quality. Ground in Germany on Walter grinding machines and often balanced to 40,000rpm+, DATRON use these capabilities to remain on the leading edge of cutting tool design development.

DATRON MXCube

With up to 8kW Spindle, up to 143 station Automatic Tool Changer, and 40m/min rapids, the MXCube has perfected quick and efficient production of precision sheet/plate parts.

The rigid portal gantry frame and up to 40,000rpm spindle allow optimised HSM machining for high volume production.

DATRON M8 Cube

The M8 Cube is a space efficient high-speed Machining Centre ideal for large, complex parts. Large working area, low setup times, and option for bolt-in additions that allow for up to 5-axis processing are key features of this machine.

The M8 Cube is ideal for low volume, high mix production for high-tech industries.
